So Often The Answer

"A dog is so often the answer -- when you're lonely and need company, or when you're tired of company and need lonely."

    1. Judy, great thought -- and a spark for several variations:

...when you already know the answer
...when you'd rather not hear the answer

and it reminds me of an old one of mine:
"I like to go for walks with my dog and my shadow, mainly for the conversation."

  3. Beautiful sentiment! My beloved Vern has been sick and quite lackadaisical. I wrote about him on my blog.

  4. Buddy, hi -- and say hello to all my friends under the dining room table.

Becky, sorry to hear. You write beautifully about Vern. Let's hope that there are good times to come. It's just sad when the inevitable parting begins to loom on the horizon.

    1. Thank you, Robert. Vern is actually much better. In fact, the vet said he doesn't need any more of his medications and can start going back to his regular food. He's a different dog now, too!

    2. That is such good news, Becky. I underestimated Vern, it seems. Do give him by fondest regards.

    3. Thanks, Robert! He's quite a guy, alright! I hugged him and told him it was from you, and with your fondest regards! :)
