Monday Musings #8

To condone a political injustice is merely to take your place in the line of eventual victims.

There is a tendency for someone who stubbornly mistakes us for a better person to be proved right.

Nothing shakes your faith in democracy like the family's 3-2 vote for fudge sundaes for breakfast.

It is easier to battle ignorance than misinformation because, as a rule, ignorance is not refreshed hourly.

To conclude that a miracle is not going to happen, and that it's up to you, is the first requirement of a miracle.

While life can hit us with the unexpected, most things go wrong pretty much when we thought they would, for the reasons we thought they might.

We are lured into unhappiness by its reliability, the assurance that at the end of the day, it will be there.

In the end what makes us all equal is that we are all just passing through.
